“Horrendous coffee breath” was present throughout Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor’s “Bridgerton” sex scenes.
According to aceshowbiz.com, the 34-year-old actor has said that he and his 27-year-old co-star had rigorous guidelines in place before filming their personal sequences, but they’re also big lovers of having coffee in the morning.
Rege-Jean stated: “What no one knows about ‘Bridgerton’, (was that) Phoebe and I had awful coffee breath the whole way through.” Rege-Jean made the statement during an interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
The actor said that before filming their sex scenes, he and Phoebe came to an understanding.
He revealed: “Saying “Hey, so the scenes after lunch, what are our guidelines,” you walk up to your other actor. Do we not have onions? What, no garlic here? Do I need to bring the coffee in right away? I genuinely really enjoy coffee, so I don’t mind, we both say.”
Phoebe previously said that they “both consume a lot of coffee” in the meantime.
The actress also mentioned how “very, really wonderful” her co-star smelled.
“Why have I been asked it by so many people? He has a wonderful scent about him. He doesn’t smoke or do anything similar, and he has never, ever had foul breath. We both consume a lot of coffee, so sometimes we both smell similar, but it was okay. He doesn’t smell in a bad manner “She said
Phoebe also acknowledged that she enjoyed working with Rege-Jean on the Netflix series.
She uttered: “I believe that we got along incredibly well and that I gained a lot from him. Because of the differences in our acting philosophies, we were able to complement one another. About the characters and their connection, we were in agreement. Working with him was wonderful.”
